From what you describe it sounds like that the computer is overheating when you start a game. Here are some links with pictures to show you how to clean out your computer.

I want to buy graphics card for hp dx2000 MT with p4 2.80GHz, 3GB RAM and windows 7 ultimate... I dont know which one to buy... HELP?

Due to the limited amount of power produced by your power supply (250 watts) and the fact that you appear not to have PCI Express of AGP video card slots on your motherboard, it is not a good idea to upgrade your graphics card in a an attempt to achieve better performance.
However, if your onboard (built-in) video card has stopped functioning properly, I would recommend this card as a replacement: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130477
Or this one if you would like to connect to a monitor or especially a TV via HDMI: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131325

I try to play a game with my graphics card installed but I keep getting a screen full of dots and after a while the computer restarts. What should I do?

Try updating your graphics driver. and lower some of the quality settings in the game so it doesn't push the card as much. If that doesn't help you may need to buy a new graphics card.

Railroad tycoon restarts computer while playing

Hello there,

Usually this happens when the computer is compatible to run the game but not compatible to keep it playing,,, meaning that the computer can execute the game (get it started) but fails to keep it going. The cause of this problem is the graphics adapter so a new graphics card will solve this problem, and remember when buying a graphics card make sure you buy one that is better than the one the game requires.

I hope i solved your problem.

Playing cod4, slow jerky poor performance

First of all I hope that you properly uninstalled the graphics drivers and restarted before you installed the graphics drivers for your new card. Old left over drivers can cause a major problem.

Assuming you did it right read below.

What graphics settings do you have it on? And is your firewall set to let it open?

You should also list your processor and the speed and make of your memmory.

I play cod4 on high with an agp .1950 pro @ 1024x768 resolution.

turn off antileasing and aniostropic filtering. Turn all optional settings off but keep textures on medium

No offense but you have the low end version of the hd 2xxx series and can probly only play at medium at best.

You can also go into catylst control panel and make sure the settings are auto balanced.
