ViewSonic N2635w 26 in. LCD Television Logo
Anonymous Posted on Mar 15, 2011

I bought this N2635W it wasnt turning on. (So I thought it was the power supply) I bought a new power supply, and still didnt turn on.( So I thought it is the main control board) I bought a usded controler board, then it just turned by itself and there was only a white screen. No sound no controls responding. ( So i thought it needs a new one). I bought a new controller board from viewsonic,. Now it responds to the power button, I can turn it on and off., but still theres only a white screen, no sound and no channel or menu responce.

Im sorry if I changed names on the parts. The TV Tuner is the big board on the TV and thats why i called it Main Board. Which is already been replaced I bought it straight from Viewsonic.

If you replaced the AC adapter, then the issue is the Power board on the system Depending one the model, it may be part of the motherboard or a seperate part

Viewsonic N2635W. Did not turned on. I replaced the Power Supply, Main Board & the T-Con board. Now it turns on to a white screen, No OSD no respond to any control buttons except to the power button.

You should also replace the cable that connects the main board with the control button.
Also replace the control button main board(a motherboard with all the buttons)
For example look here. It should look like this http://www.interliquidparts.com/wp-content/uploads/wpsc/product_images/IMG_6420.JPG

finally replace the ribbon that connects it to the main =board since these are the only important things that could still cause the problem you have.

Viewsonic n2635w 26 in tv's turns on button dosn't work.it looks like power supply is gone. please help me.

If you do not want to trouble shoot the problem down to component level in the power supply, you will be better off buying the replacement here: http://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?q=ViewSonic+N2635w+&stock=all
Check to make sure you do have 5vdc, 12vdc, 24vdc before ordering the new part you do not need.
Please post back what you find.

The ticking sounds like it could be your hard drive failed. The computer is not making any beeps or anything? just the ticking? If the pc is under warranty I would definetly handle it that way. If this is not the answer you are looking for please disregard.
Good luck,

No Output + Burned Transistor and something else...

Depending on which circuit the IRFP064N/mosfet was in then you either have a blown output section and you will need to look at the other mosfet's that work with the one you replaced or if it is in the power supply area then you will need to check the other mosfet's that work with it in the power supply. Of course you will have to test all the driving circuitry that is associated with either output or power supply, which ever is involved and be sure that the driving voltages are correct. Of course, in the power supply it would be a high frequency square wave of about 50% duty cycle. A schematic would probably be of great help. Good luck.
