Have you installed any new software? run an antivirus scan and malwayre bytes scan to make sure your not locking up do to faulty software . also if that doesnt fix it let me know bc you can re-install it back to normal like the day you bought it really easily with the boot partition . but first run it in safe mode if it doesnt lock up then its an issue with a program running on your pc go to msconfig
BUT FIRST do this
win xp
start-run-msconfig- start up and shut off everything you dont need all programs especially ones with weird names
vista-7 start menu search box for msconfig and do the rest.

My computer i in sleep mode

Sounds like it is locked up. There should be a power switch on the back. Switch it off, leave it off for a few minutes, then turn the back power switch on again and push the front power switch. If no rear switch, pull the plug. Windows doesn't like hard power downs, but if your system won't recognize the keystrokes or mouse movement, tere is nothing else you can do.

Locked HHd

If you hook it back up in your machine, power down, and remove the CMOS battery on the board (looks like a watch battery) THIS WILL CLEAR THE PASSWORD in most cases. Once you put it back in after a few minutes, you may need to check the BIOS boot time and date, and other settings again to be sure nothing custom set has reverted to default settings.

KENMORE MICROWAVE (HOUSEHOLD) LOCKED

It sounds like you press STOP two or three times to lock it. Maybe that (or another key) will unlock it.

The lock / unlock procedure will be covered in your owner's manual.

Or you can try a hard reset - unplug it from the wall for one minute, then plug it back in and try again.

If you don't have your manual, you can get one here. (Enter your model number without any spaces)

Control panel locked

A "hard reset" may work. Unplug it from the power line for a few minutes, plug it back in, set the clock, then try again.

Let us know if the hard reset doesn't fix it.
