I have a linksys wrt 160n wireless router and I am trying to connect using my macbook. Each time I select the network and enter my password, I get a connection timeout.

How do i set linksys wrt 110 i forgot my password

Follow this instructions:1. connect via hard wired connection using your PC (network cable)2. open your internet explorer or any browser.3. type the numbers 192.168.1.1 on the address bar4. you will be routed to your router's settings, type admin for USERNAME: and admin for PASSWORD.5. look for the basic setup/settings6. look for the wireless settings7. under your SSID comes the WEP or WPA-PSK option8. that is your wi-fi password, then modified it and remember the password you use for you will need to enter it on your pc when you are connecting via wireless connection.you can select ASCII for password. it should be alpha numeric or combination of letters and numbers.9. select save and apply. then you are good to go.

Router does not show wireless light. I have reset it but can't access it with the setup wizard. Any suggestions?

* NOTE: If you tried to set-up the WRT-150N Router previously, but failed, with the Router ON, press the "Reset" button on the back panel and hold it down for 10 seconds, then release. This will reset the Router to factory settings and erase all previous data.
then do this :
1. Hook up the Linksys WRT-150N Router to the Modem via a LAN cable.
2. Hook up the Linksys WRT-150N Router to your computer via a LAN cable with the LAN cable in Port #1 on the Linksys WRT-150N Router.
3. Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar of your web browser.
4. Log-on to the Linksys WRT-150N Router with these log-on credentials:
Username: linksys (lower-case)
Password: admin (lower-case)
5. Click on the "Clone PC MAC Address" tab.
6. Click the "Clone PC MAC Address" button.
7. Click "Save", click "Continue".
8. Click the "Wireless Security" tab.
9. Choose "WPA2 Personal - TKIP/AES" for encrypted security.
10. Enter encryption password (passphrase).
11. Click "Save", click "Continue".
12. Exit the web browser.
13. Disconnect the LAN cable from the computer and Port #1 on the Linksys WRT-150N Router.
In about 5 seconds, your wireless connection should be up and running.

Hello, I have a Linksys Router model No. WRT 160N and have problems with the wireless signal. Doesn't appear the wireless symbol ON and I have connected already the modem cable. The modem is OK cuz I can...

I have a full signal in my ATT modem but the wireless network keeps going up and down. Sometimes I'm able to restart the router (Linksys WRT 160N) and restore the network other times it take 3-5 restarts....

You have WRT160N router. This router has issues with the Firmware. Firmware is the software of the router.
Try to upgrade the firmware of the router.
Is there any computer connected to the router with the cable.
If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router.
Download the firmware of the router from the manufacturer's website.
enter the model number. select proper version number and download the firmware of the router.
Once you download the firmware, you will need to open the router set up and upgrade the firmware of the router.
After upgrading the firmware, it is recommended that you reset and reconfigure the router.

Ps 3 linksys 160n problem

Hi Friend,

In order to use PS3 we need to open few ports. Kindly follow the steps:

1.Open the internet explorer and type 192.168.1.1 and hit enter.
2. If you have not changed the default password of the router then kindly leave blank the username box and in the password box type admin and hot enter.
3.In the setup page click Application and Gaming
4. Under that click Port Range Forwarding.

Below are the port numbers which we need to open for PS3

TCP:
80
443
5223
UDP:

3478
3479
3658

Now please type these port number in start and end port. Please make sure start and end port has to be the same.

First enter the TCP ports in first three boxes and then UDP ports in next three boxes.

Save the settings and turn off the router for 10 seconds and restart again.

Can't find my wireless network with my desktop

open internet explorer or firefox and in the address bar enter

192.168.1.1 and press enter

then it will prompt you for a username and password

ignore the username field and enter the password as admin and click on ok or press enter.

This should take you to the configuration page.

go to the linksys site for your router here

Click on user guide - you will need adobe reader to open this so if you dont have adobe reader then you will need to install it.

Once installed you should be able to open the user guide which will walk you through how to configure the router with regards to wireless etc.
