Question about KitchenAid 24 in. KUDM25SH Built-in Dishwasher

Is there a filter that needs to be replaced or cleaned? After cycle is finished there is still water in the bottom. If I run cancel several times, it pumps it out but very slowly.

If your dishwasher is connected to a disposal and it is clogged the dishwasher will not
pump out. Also if it has an "Air Gap", this may have debris in it. It looks like a small chrome
cap next to the kitchen faucet. You can dismantle it to clean it or just replace it. Just be
sure to hook the inlet and outlet hoses up correctly. Hope this solves the problem.

Not finishing cycle

Is it draining out the water?? Dishwashers fill, spray, and drain more than several times during a cycle. After starting a cycle, let the unit fill, start spraying, and then cancel the cycle--listen for the drain pump activating and pumping out the water. If water is not being drained properly(within a certain time limit), the unit will error code out and stop. Also, make sure the filter is clear--if it gets clogged with "muck", enough water won't be sprayed onto the dishes properly, the pump will require too much energy to try to pump water, the control will sense this and shut down the unit to protect it.

Dishwasher was not draining. I cleaned out everything and now it wont start

I have the same problem with another Kitchenaid model. I've had better results at keeping the water drained by running two back to back water saver cycles than running a full pots and pans cycle.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

Dishwasher not draining completely problem usually occurs due to clogged/blocked drain hose-filter assembly or the drain pump not working. First try to clean the drain hose and drain pump filter located inside the front bottom panel for any clogs, then check drain pump operation. Take off the bottom access panel to clean the drain pump filter and hose. If the problem returns after cleaning then it is the drain pump that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

My kenmore 665.1376 has not been draining. i dont think it is finishing its cycles correctly. when i open the door, the bottom is full of soapy water. i have to wait a day, then hit the cancel/drain...

The filter is probably blocked.

It is inside the base of the machine.

Take out the filter and clean it and also clean out the filter well as that can also hold quite a bit of debris.

Duet Sport Whirlpool front loading washer is stopping before cycle is finished with a variety of error codes from F21 5d etc. Will run fine for several loads then back to not finishing. Have unplugged it...

First check your washer plug to see if the connections are tightly screwed. Next check your filter if you haven't for long.

Remove the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel under the washer door. Your filter door will be light brown. If you find a hose there it is to drain out excess water (water that could not be drained by your pump) After you hv drained unscrew the cap and remove all the junk inside. Have a large plastic bag to catch junk and water. Refit carefully after cleaning out. If not solved, something shd be blocking your pump, check this out

Dishes are not getting clean

Hi there.
In the bottom of the dishwashers is normally a filter with a handle on it for easy removal. pull it up, gently, you might have to turn it slightly from side to side to loosen it if it is very dirty. When this filter is out you will see another filter that is just lifted straight up and on that one you might find a lot of dirt.Put both filters in a 10 liter bucket with on cup of chlorine(diluted to 5%) to 5 liters of water. Pour some chlorine( 2 cups) into the bottom of the machine, and close the door and let the machine run on its hottest cycle until finished. When the machine is finished, rinse out the filters in the bucket with warm water. Brush the rest of the dirt off and replace them where they were. Run the machine once again, now on a normal cycle with the dishes in it and I believe they will be clean.

Won't drain

Make sure the garbage disposal is clear so the water can exit. After that, you may have something caught in the drain hose or check valve. It would require removing the bottom kick plate to gain access to check.

Ran on normal cycle when done 2 inches of water on bottom

Test by restarting the cycle and see if water drains if it does not then there is either a blockege in the pipe ,pump,or in the machine where the water passes out normally through a filter if you have checked and cleaned out filter and drain pipe and there is still no draining then listen to the pump if you can hear a humming niose then there is something in the pump itself and you need to take it out and inspect the impelar houseing remove what ever is there put back and enjoy if there is no noise and pump is clean then it is proberly fualty and nedd replaceing.
