I've used this dw before but not in years, I would like to start using it again and I can't remember how to hook it up to the faucet. I thought it screwed on.... SOURCE: connection to my faucet

There is an adapter that you can buy at most home improvement or hardware stores. If you can't find it locally you could also try sears.com for the part.

SOURCE: why wont dishwasher drain?

The 'drain hose' must placed into the sink and be free of kinks and obstruction. There is a pump that is supposed to pump the water out through the drain hose into the sink. If that pump does not activate, no water will be pumped out. I suggest yo have a repair technician trouble shoot and fit it.

Check the level and tightness of the slide rails--they may have come loose after the years of use. Make sure the dishwasher case itself is level. Hope this helps!

Testimonial: "Thank-you. The unit is perfectly level. The rails are spot welded and all bearing seems to be OK. Nothing to tighten, will investigate further now that I see the system is not complex at all. Thanks for replying so quickly. k"

No water

Check the incoming water to the dishwasher. If the filter is clogged clean it and re fix. Strainer is located on the machine inlet junction where the hose is fitted.

The humming sound is due to motor running without water. When you rectify the inlet flow fault, pour additional water manually into the wash chamber and run the cycle. This to remove trapped air in the pump due to dry run.

Need a manual for Caloric model dc52151W0A

You are correct. The water sent to the DW should be from your hot water source. No need for a manual on that one!

Water leaks from door

Hi dec507,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your problem is: you have a Caloric Model CD4 200 CWW and water leaks on the right side of the door. The gasket seem to be worn.

The gasket is easy to replace but you should also check the d/w for level. I mean horizontal, vertical and front back. Over time they can get out of level enough to cause a problem.

Feel free contact me again!
