Can i insert sim in samsung galaxy tab. 10.1 ?

Had a problem very similar to this. I took it to my local servicing agent and they found the SIM Base to be defective. They replaced the section but charged 75 USD (it was out of warranty) then they reinitialized the SIM and all was well.

This unit uses a Micro-SIM (3FF) SIM card. SIM Card slot is on the right side of the unit.

Is your Samsung Galaxy Tab locked with any particular network?If so..when you insert other networks sim..it will show error messages like network error/invalid sim etc.I suggest you can approach your network provider and get the unlock code for your device.You can follow the free unlock instructions from Mobileunlockguide.com and enter the unlock code easily.This way you can unlock the device very easily.

To copy contacts from sim to phone on Samsung Galaxy S Tab:

1. On HOME SCREEN, tap Applications
2. Tap Contacts
3. Press and choose Import/Export
4. Select Import from SIM card
5. Press and tap Copy to phone
6. Tap Select all
7. You're DONE!

the galaxy tab will be locked to the provider you got it from, which is why your sim isnt being recognised. You will need to unlock the tab to allow it to accept any sim. To get it unlocked you need to request an unlock code from Telstra

i just brought my samsung galaxy s and i have a telstra nextG simcard in it and it wont let me connect to the internet i can make and recive calls,txts etc please help
