Acer speakers Hi I just recently purchased an Acer Aspire X1200 PC and when I hooked up my speakers it didnt work so I tried putting the plug in the other holes at the back of it and it still won't work. What should I do?

You can try reconnecting your keyboard. If the problem persists you might have some defect with the keyboard itself unless your pc has been infected by virus. Try connecting another keyboard to your pc, if it works then the problem is with your keyboard. If it does not work, then probably it is a driver problem. Generally your operating system must automatically identify your keyboard and install the driver. If it does not, your pc has been infected by virus. Try scanning your pc with a good anti virus or you can also format your pc.

internal card and usb to ext wireless hub

basic issue is this how far is the desktop from the wireless signal

if it's in same room then the internal would be fine

if it's in another room then ext hub is better solution

If you have an aftermarket video card go to vendors site and download latest vid drivers, usually solves problem.

check the all power cable, check other device.

Make sure it is plugged in securely. Try a different keyboard. If it is a USB keyboard try a different USB port. If it still won't work write back.

Might be trivial, but try the volume controls, that little speaker icon on the Windows task bar.
