sounds like a failing t-con board. this board is on the back of the screen controls the signals to the screen. ribbon from main board goes to the t-con board.

There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). maybe you need the dvr or their box and use that into input (channel 3 or 4) and use the remote.

Look at the back of your remote... It should give you a simple fix... WORKED FOR ME!!!
