Picture Was Getting Slightly Dark For 2 Days, Now Nothing But Flashing Red Light

Can't get a reception with my ws-a55 tv

Buy an Orginal Replacement Lamp.

Had a similar problem with my Sony. Unplug for 36 hours and try again.

For dark picture I need to ask one question, How long ago you replaced its lamp? one year, two years?

Picture brightness is depends on lamp in LCD rear projection (DLP) TVs and if lamp got weak in generating light, you will see dark picture.

I would recommend to replace lamp and buy Sony original lamp from Sony Accessories Store.

I had this same issue with a 46" Sony. I replaced the bulb, and it is as good as new. I hope this helps.

Power supply mnay be out. Yes, get an essimate if you like first, but if it's less than 8 years old-get it fixed.

need to know the model number of the tv and your sources. IE cable or antannae

This is the most common death mode for TV's. The high voltage is acting up. You set is not quite 10 years old right? Can be fixed, but involves replacing the Flyback transformer which is not cheap. It is a toss-up as to whether it is worth putting the $200 or so it will cost to fix into a set that has limited expected lifetime.

Locate vertical output IC = solder all pins = two off-set rows,
then try again................part location IC301 , or 401 ?

2) possible bad CRT = turn up screen voltage slightly = did pix pop back on ?..................................T.
