First Time Charging
When you're charging your battery for the first time, charge it fully before using your laptop. You may have to go through a battery cycle a couple times before your battery begins performing at its maximum capability. To do this, charge your battery fully, let it discharge to about five percent, and then fully charge it again

Charge time differs from computer to computer. Some new laptops may charge in 15-20 minutes and some take a couple of hours. if its the first time leave it plugged in for a few hours and next time pay attention to how long it takes, the windows battery meter will tell you what percent of the battery is charged. hope this helps
