Make sure your volume is turned up on your ipod and in the car make sure nothing else is playing. Also check your instruction book and if all fails take your car back to where you bought it from and explain what has happened also make sure it's properly pluged in!
I think the backlight of your screen is out, which can be complicated. I think it is working but just not lighting up. I'll look this thing up and let you know more later. Please send me a make and model number when you can.
i have the same damn problem. On the menu screen, i don't see any words, letters and ect. I only see the icons. When I try playing the music on my opal m4208-GR, It only shows a black screen. So i don't know what too do. I tried reformatting and the firmware update. Im guessing you have too kill the battery for the whole day. Try playing the mp3 all day until the battery drains out. Hopefully it can regain memory after that.
try putting it in recovery mode, detach it from anything like a charger or pc make sure that it is off, press and hold the play button while powering on, when you see the logo release the play button, for this problem you must se;ect the reload os firmware and then follow instructions
For Windows XPTM users, you are connecting the device in MTP mode to the computer by default. You will need to set the device to MSC mode, so go to the device menu\Settings\Advanced\Protocol = > Press Play/Pause key to select MSC mode which will appear as such on the screen. Reconnect the device to the computer, and you can now see those files and delete them. DO NOT forget to set the device back to MTP mode when finished, so go to device menu\Setting\Advanced = > Select MTP mode.
the light is on but there is nothing on the screen
IT WILL LIGHT UP BUT NOTHING IS ON THE SCREEN AND THE MUSIC WILL PLAY
