Technical problem(please help)

I have a kit. Where are you located?

If all the other functions work on the tv remote, then turn the tv off, then un-plug it for 10 minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on. If the input button still doesn't work then go into the tv menu and try and change it there. Let me know how it turns out?

Harish.......If you've lost both audio and video you'll probably need the upgrade kit. If it were just video you could get by for sometime with replacing the slow blow fuse on the s-zus board. Check your eprom chip on the digiatal board to see if it appears burnt. If so it may have fried. If you'd like the service manual I'll need your email address

There is a easy fix - Most of you purchased your television at Sears or BrandsSmart Stores - No picture but you can hear sound - the part you need is the upgrade kit - part: TV-3940-01 - the part is not always available.

have seen ysus pcb cause this problem on this model,It is not a cheap repair.Get it checked but get estimate before agreeing to pay for repair.,

You need the upgrade kit - make Sears come out and order it for you - they know all about it, claim that the monitor should have been recalled. Mine was out of warranty, however I convinced them to fix the TV.

My experience with a Haier Plasma 42EP24S is that they have weak software chip that goes bad and can cause a number of symptoms from picture with no sound, will not recognize video inputs, or my current problem tv turns on and off irratically.  This is the second time i have replace this chip, which is the socketed chip on the vga/component/dvi input circuit card.  Last time i had this problem i ended up fixing it myself because sears took over 3 weeks and still could not figure out the problem.  I am working on obtaining this chip, probally get about a dozen so if anyone thinks this may fix there problem as well i my have some for sale.  [email protected] of Malobicky Digital Systems.
