I cannot sign into Yahoo mail - with either computer -
Is there something going on with Yahoo today?
Will the problem resolve?
I receive all my mail there - it is vital I get my mail.
I do business online also.

Which email account ??...

People sometimes forget their email username or password even both.
Fortunately, you can retrieve your username if you can supply some information that verifies your identity.
However, if you forget your password, you must select a new one.
You will need access to the alternate email address you supplied when you created your current email account.

Go to your email program and click the link under the sign-in fields to recover a lost email ID or password.
The title of this link may vary, depending on your email program.
For instance, look for "Can't access your account?" in Gmail and look for "I can't access my account" in Yahoo! Mail.
Clicking this link will take you to a page with several options.
Select the appropriate option to retrieve your email ID.
For instance, select "I forgot my username" in Gmail and "I forgot my Yahoo! ID" in Yahoo! Mail.


Enter the alternate email address you provided when you signed up for the email account.
You may have to enter other information as well, such as your date of birth, country of residence and zip code.


Go to the email account for the address you provided.
Open the account recovery message from your email service provider to view your username.
If your username is not provided, there should be a link.
Follow the directions included in the message to retrieve your username with this link.

Reset Your Password

In the Facebook login page, Select the forgot password link. Enter either your username or email id that you use to login or your phone number. If you have registered your phone, you would get your password as an text message. If you enter your email id you'll be taken to the next page asking for confirmation. In this page, your primary ID and an alternate ID would have been mentioned. If you have access to any of these, Submit the request. If not, select 'Don't have access to any of these?' below and enter a new email address. This should work
To recover your Yahoo account specify your Yahoo ID after selecting 'I can't access my account' from below the login page and they will send out a mail to the alternate mail id that you would have provided earlier. In case you forgot the Yahoo ID itself, you would have to mention the alternate email id you registered earlier and answer some security questions. they will ask few questions you've been provided during your registration like secret questions..

Finding a lost email address
If you have chatted before, or you have recieved an offline messages before from that person....you can access the messages by viewing it from the message archive in your Yahoo Messenger..then you would know the ID/username of that person. If you didn't have any messages from that person...I think it you can also search him/her if you type in search by name...and what you're searching ( ID or Email address).....
