Ihave ac2002 type 3 pancake comressor bout a year old. Has been usedvery little. When I did g`o `to use it no air pressure will g`o through the regulator valve. I see a replacement is about 70.00. Not real anxious to spend that kind of money on something that is like new but just out of warranty.

SOURCE: no air pressure thru quick connect to tools-bag regulator?

I dont know if it is like mine, but if you can let the air out of it and remove the regulator knob, and it`s components, you may can set it to just to be open all the time,in other words,by pass the control knob valve.Shout back at me if I can help.

SOURCE: The drain plug on my Porter Cable pancake

Yes...the drain valve on the bottom of the tank is just a standard 1/4 Drain Pedcock that you can purchase at most hardware store.
You can also find these in the hardware section of Lowes or Home Depot where they sell the Air Compressors.

SOURCE: I have a pancake compressor that won't hold air

If you replaced the head gasket then its probably the valve plate and gasket.

SOURCE: what would cause hose from pump to tank on a porter cable pancake comressor get extremely hot when running

I too had noticed the heated compression rubber hose.. the older models for smaller united were made to last longer and used 1/4" copper tubing and flang fittings kence, less rubber seals to fail over the long run, although porta cable says the compressor has a three year limited warranty for this product.. Mine has started to leak just over a year and only used a few times maybe twice a month. So even ubder light duty this unit has failed not just the drain plug seal,, but internal seals inside the compressor. I have returned this ubit for a full refund. So to answer your question, "what would cause a rubber hose to get extremely hot" it is normal for all compression tubings and hoses to run hot to the touch when running long periods but it is also a problem when poor engineering and lack of quality components such as rubber seals fail and cause leaks and so causing excessive heat and internal damage to other seals under such extremes..May I suggest you contact porta cable and ask them about your trouble with the product and their three year limited warranty

Fujitsu Air conditioner won't start after been off for 3 months

Knocking or hammering at the compressor is indicative of liquid refrigerant in the compressor. The compressor can't compress liquid. You'll need to call someone out to possibly evacuate and recharge the unit to remove the liquid in the compressor

Mastercraft compressor - one pancake type tank ... need pressure

You do not need to use factory replacement switch. Mos t universal pressure switches are set to shut off at 120-130 psi. You will need to check the placement of the unloader valve (1/4 line from check valve) and the quantity of ports as some switches have only one port and others have 3-4. Check ebay for good match and low price. Good Luck

My lg wall unit (LWHD1009R) 10,000 btu the compressor keeps turning off after it gets going. even though I have it on a low temp. the comressor turns off after 5-10 minutes even though the room is not cold

either going off on low charge which would cause it to ice up, which means you need refrigerant. or high head pressure might just have to clean the coils or check condensor fan.

Portable oiless compressor wont pressurize

If there is pressure at the pump, either:

1) The tank check valve isn't opening (it's located where the line from the head enters the tank - usually extends into the tank, and the the pressure switch unloader line comes off of it as well)
2) The pressure switch unloader is bleeding off the air. This is a small valve on the side of the pressure switch. It should close when the compressor is running and open when the compressor shuts off to bleed off head pressure.

My air compressor (pancake task force) cycles on and off at around 100 psi. Is this an adjustment or could the pressure switch be bad? Could not find my particular compressor in the product listing.

EITHER YOUR PRESSURE SWITCH IS BAD OR YOUR TANK IS COMPLETELY FULL OF WATER AND THERE IS LITTLE ROOM FOR AIR. ALWAYS TAKE YOUR SWITCH WITH YOU WHEN PURCHASING A REPLACEMENT.
