this could be related to the power supply it is the
magnetic field variety that has a thyristor controlling its input check if the voltage supply to the amp outputs is varying when the pulsing is heard. if so
the control curcuit could be at fault.
im from germany i had the same problem with my carver pm-350. after a few search trough the web i found the right fan-motor at ebay.com (usa). the name of the offerer was thomething like "woodentrain...." it was offered as a elektromotor for H0-train (40V). the only thing you have to do is to cut the shaft on one side of the motor if you want to use it in your amp. in my caase i had to search for the type (RS-365SH) (mabuchi?), but maybe your amp uses an other fan-motor.. best ragards from germany
