Hi I have a problem with my Kenmore washing machine,in particular I can not use hot water anymore. When I use my washing machine hot water does not stop at set water filling level (law, medium,high) that results overfill and spill on a floor, so I can not use hot water when I do my laundry. But, I can still use cold water ( there's no problem with cold water use, because it stops at set water filling level) So, I turn off hot water and use cold water only when I use my Kenmore washine machine. I need an advise to solve the problem. Thank you Gala

Have model 88675 with slow hot water fill

I once had this problem. The solution was to remove the hot water hose connection to the washer and look at the filter/screen inserted into the end of the hose connection on the washer machine. This screen protects the washer components from foreign particles entering. You may find a badly-clogged screen, so clean it. I have seen a cold water screen clean, while the hot water screen was clogged...something to do with hot water and minerals or iron in water.

Please post the model number for your washer. It sounds like your hot water valve has failed and is not closing. Unplug your washer's power cord and turn the hot water spigot that comes out of the wall on. If you still get water filling your washing machine, it's definitely the washer's valve and you will need to install a new set (hot and cold valves are both part of the same assembly).
