You must purchase a valid product key from an online vendor or your local software store.
If you have already purchased it from an online vendor, the product key should be emailed to you. The key is a 25-character string that is used to activate the software.
If you are a student, there are discounted versions that are available.
The upgrade version is only to upgrade a previous version of MS office. The trial version does not qualify as previous version to be upgraded. You need to purchase the full product rather than the upgrade.
