If the DVD is built into the TV, try and DVD cleaner Disk.

If it is external, try a different DVD player and disk.

hi, make sure that you are playing the correct color system disk they are disk recorded in a standard NTSC disk if you are living in US or PAL SECAM from arab country.same with your DVD player check if your player supports a multisystem disk...You can also try to switch the color system from your remote control you switch from NTSC to PAL system...

Are there any visible scratches on the black discs? If so i would recommend getting them resurfaced at your local game store.
If there is no damage to the disk then it is more likely than not down to the PS2 laser, as they get older they struggle to read more and more until they will only read perfect white disks or nothing at all. Give the laser a good clean with some solvent, being careful not to scratch it.

If you are trying to play a DVD in the Wii thats the problem Wii doesn't play DVDs its not set up to that one of its many flaws. If you installed the Hack to make it play DVDs then again there is your flaw. If its a game you are playing and its blk/wht and all your wires are connected right you have a bad Wii.
