I have WM1832CW washer. I believe the timer is not functioning. It washes, but stays in the spin cycle. Goes through spin for several minutes and then it gets the IE error. The fabric softener never goes through. Just spins and stops with the error.

The error you are receiving is a bad water valve inlet problem. It's typically the cold inlet, but it's better to replace both.

Depending on the type of water you have, the valves could have lots of sentiment blocking the filter screens inside the valve, which can be cleaned, you'll just need to remove the water hose attached, and check.

If your valves look clear, then they have just possibly failed, and need to be replaced.

Washer stops during normal wash cycle for a minute or more, and then continues. Would replacing the timer fix it?

If it actually goes on and finishes the cycle and that really bothers you replace it. If not leave it alone and allow a little more time to complete its cycle. The lid switch only keeps the spin cycle from going with the top open.

LG Washing Machine Model : WD658 When using the function "Rinse & Spin", the timer decreases when rinsing. However, the timer decreases and stops at 9 minutes. This results the machine...

Try setting a lower spin speed. You may have a bulky load which the washer is having a difficult time getting up to the high speed spin you have selected. Also, did you know that on most LG washers, you can do just a spin without a rinse? Just turn the washer power on, then, without selecting a cycle, just push the spin speed selector to select the spin speed desired. This should set the cycle for about a 12 to 14 minutes pump and spin only. Then push start. You can spin that bulky load at the lowest spin, then try it again at the next faster spin if needed, without adding rinse water.

Neptune MAH5500B waon't spin - clothes very wet at end of cycle. Tried to just spin but no spin action and timer just goes down to 1 minute and stays there.

turn back to spin,
and see if you get a lock light,
if your lock is working you will need a new motor control,, and maybe a new motor

Washer won't wash

Hi!
When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:
It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.
Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Washing machine does go thru spin cycle or drain water.

If the washer does not spin, take off the rubber bumbers inculding the little washers attached, inside the lid. It lowers the lid, which takes care of the problem. I had the same problem. Not anymore! Trust me, if nothing is wrong with any other part of the washer, this will work.

Maytag neptune MLG2000AWW does not turn off at end of spin cycle

d sounds as if your having a timer issue here. not recognizing the end of cycle and entering a new one ( bad timer).. as far as time of unlocking this is normal, theres a wax motor holding the door shut for i believe 3 min's.. and the water sloshing sounds is also normal they use a "water filled" balance ring around the perimeter of tub to help with the overall balance of machine
