Hi, my dishwasher doesnt appear to heat the water-am I able to get a replacement part? Thanks

mfr,, model? (hot water is to be supplied into the washer, it seems cold water is supplied?)
there's a 'heating element' but i guess this is use to dry the dishes.
"heating element" should be available, search using mfr. & model no.

Hello my hotpoint dwf33 doesnt clean the bottom drawer properly the top one is ok

Sounds like the spray arm is blocked with crud - or the feed to it is.

The spray arm can pulled downwards and away for cleaning by hand.

Is it a cold water or hot water fill

It's your choice. There's only a single supply hose and with most dishwashers that means cold fill only, but as this is a compact basic worktop model the manual supplied suggests that users connect to a hot water supply.

In real-life situations though, the water drawn from the hot supply often isn't instantly hot so all you do is drain cold or tepid water from the supply pipe and let it get replaced with wasted hot water which then cools in the pipe! If the machine features condenser drying like many dishwashers, then cold water is essential for it to work. A final consideration is that unless your hot water is supplied at mains pressure (such as in a combi-boiler or megaflo system) then the water pressure from a hot water storage tank will not often be high enough and you'll have to use the cold supply.

Water is cold

It's probably the heater element that has gone, but it could be a simpler fault like the pressure switch not activating. See this video it should give you the general idea

Do these 'portable' dishwashers 'heat' water prior to washing? i have customer complaining bout the dishes not coming clean..yet the water entering the dishwasher is cold, does not appear to heat water...

Most dishwashers require a minimum 120 degree inlet water temp. The heating element will boost this up during the main wash cycle to aprox 140. Do not hook a dishwasher up to inlet water temps above 150.

Our hotpoint DWF33 Aquarius seems to be going through it's cycle normally but at the end of the program the dishes are not clean, the tab drawer has opened but the tab is still hole. and there is no steam...

i removed the drain cover in the bottom of the dish area ( near the salt fill cap )and cleaned it out. poured boiling water in and closed the machine and ran it with the hottest setting, empty.
this seams to have cured it

Water does not heat up

sounds as if the water supplied to your dishwater is on the cold side supply. Dish washers do not heat water themselves they have the hot water supplied to them from the hot side of the water supply to the house. Very few dishwashers have a water heater hook up built into them.. I would check the water supply to the dishwasher I think there is where your trouble is. Good Luck

Blocked hotpoint dwf 33

There is a drain hose for your dishwasher and it often gets clogged. remove and clean it , reinstall and problem solved. If this doesnt fixya then might have to throw parts at it. Not sure though without cleaning the hose first. Good luck
