1. Look at the new lamp. make sure it still looks good. not broken with little glass pieaces in it. 2. When you turn on the tv, put your ear to the lower back part of the tv near the middle. Listen for the start up of the color wheel (a low high pitch sound only at the start up of the motor). If this is good you will here a ticking sound only if the lamp dose not light.

Now with all this info. If the lamp lights (as seen from the back of the set) and goes out after a few seconds and you did not here the color wheel spin up, the color wheel is bad.

If you here the color wheel spin up and no ticking sound, the Ballast is bad.

The ballast part no. 939P978010

The color wheel is not avialable from Mits. You will have to replaced the light engine. It cost to much. Just buy a new tv.

We replaced the lamp in a tv mitsubishi wd-62327 now there is a orange flashing indicator light....now what?

if the set is now working, its just a matter of resetting the lamp-hour counter in the on-screen menus.be sure to clean any filters associated with the fan which cools the bulb,or your new lamp wont last long!

I have the Mitsubishi WD62327 62". I just changed the bulb which I did last year on my own too. My problem is not replacing the bulb but now the tv does not want to turn on. This did not happen to me last...

You need to reset the timer lamp. On mine it is getting the display to lamp then hold the left and menu button for five seconds.

If that doesn't work go to the mitsubishi site and DL the PDF of your model and it should be in there unless you have the paper manual still around.

Mits wd 62327 "NOT WORKING"

I recently repaired a Mitsubishi DLP for a similar symptom. Found C9a37 and C9a38 in the power supply to be defective. They feed the light engine driver. The power supply module is located all the way up front on the left side of the chassis looking from the rear. The module is also shielded so you will have to remove the shields to locate the capacitors. The value of the caps are 3300mf/25v. Good luck
