Electrolux in their wisdom seem to have discontinued the lower front access panel. To avoid removing the complete front panel You can try this: Remove the back-panel and try to remove the clamp which holds the Hose( coin trap, tub-to-pump) to the tub. If the clamp is a spring-type and You can't reach the end to decompress it You can tilt the washer to the right side(seen from the front) and reach it from underneath. It worked for me.

What's F-21

This error code F21 signifies a drain problem and usually caused by a blocked drain filter. Check to make sure that the drain hose is free from obstructions then remove the three screws securing the bottom front panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You may prop up the bottom front edge of the machine with a 4X4 block of wood or cushion the top rear edge and lean it against the wall for easy access and removal of the screws.

Once the bottom front panel is off, you'll find the drain filter knob. Turn the knob counterclockwise to remove and clean the filter. You may need to lay a towel under the filter to catch residual water before removing it. Manually drain the water, by gravity, from the tub if significant amount of water is still present by placing the end of the drain hose as low as possible into a basin or bucket.

How do you remove the filter???? it doesnt say in the instructions

The drain filter in Whirlpool front load washers is located at bottom front inside of the machine. Remove the screws securing the bottom front panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the machine with a block of wood or cushion the rear top edge and lean it against the wall for easy access and removal of the screws.

Not draining

Remove the lower front panel to gain access to the inside and bottom of your washer. You will see a drain filter between the bottom of your tup and the pump. Before you remove it you will need to hand bail the water out of your tub. Twist the drain filter counter clockwise to remove and clean it out. Note: It is very difficult to get all the water out of your tub by hand bailing so some water will come out once you remove this drain filter. I used a palstic trash bag and put it under the drain filter so when I removed it I caught the remaining water. 9 times out of 10 it is a dirty filter not allowing the washer to drain out and many times you will get a message (SUD) on the display panel. It thinks it is over sudsing and wont drain. I hope this helps you.

Hi, my washing machine is stopping frequently and E20 is flashing on the screen. What does that mean? Thanks! Ann

The drain pump and filter jammed.error E20.The drain pump getting blocked. Plug off the mains. You have to look for screws below the front kick-panel, you can raise the machine a bit to gain access to the screws, the panel comes down & out. You may find a drain hose here, on left, drain off the excess water. The pump is on the right side. Be prepared for dirty water. Inside the big flexible tube (coming from the tub bottom) is the filter, be prepared to find all sorts of junk here, clean out.Examine your pump also, clean out the impeller. Carefully refit all. Your machine would be fine. Don’t wait for the machine to jam to look into your filter. cleaning the filter is no easy task.
1. First, make sure you have super glue on hand, the door seal is glued to the front panel, will have to be removed first then glued back in place. Using a sharp knife, carefully begin peeling the door seal and cutting the glue close to the cabinet. Do this slowly as to not damage the door seal.
2. Remove top cover. Screws are in the back
3. Remove control console.
4. Remove screws securing the door lock. Remove all front panel screws. Remove front panel.
5. Attached to the tub there is a large, fat drain hose, inside the hose you will find a filter.

I have a LTF2940ES3 and the water drains slowly and not completely. I get the error code E20 and I have already checked the exterior hose and it is not clogged. I washed a stuffed toy pillow and it tore...

There is a filter in the black hose that goes from the tub to the pump. It must be where the toy stuffing blocked the water from draining. Access the hose through the front bottom panel then remove it from the bottom of the tub to get the filter out and clean it.

Remove the two screws attaching the front bottom panel to the cabinet then slide the panel down and off the cabinet. Prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access the screws more easily.

Loosen the clamp holding the tub-to-pump hose to the tub to remove it and take out filter. Clean the filter then reinstall it and the front bottom panel in reverse order of the removal steps.

Plug off the mains. You have to look for screws below the front kick-panel, the panel comes down & out. The pump is on the right side. Be prepared for dirty water. There is a drain hose here, disconnect & drain out. There could be a lot of water. Inside the big flexible tube (coming from the tub bottom) is the filter, be prepared to find all sorts of junk here, clean out. Examine your pump also, clean out the impeller. Carefully refit all. Your machine would be fine. Don’t wait for the machine to jam to look into your filter.
For some front loader models after removing the bottom toe panel, the filter is in the compartment having the white screw able lid. The big hose from the bottom of your tub leads to this compartment.

You could also check the exit hose of the washer for blocks. Next snake out your wall drain, it helps.

There is no acutal filter on this unit...You cab remove the back panel to access the drain pump ...Or tilt the washer back and access it from the bottom...Remove the drain hose from tub to drain pump...(careful of flow of water from tub)...Check the hose for any blockage...If no blockage then your pump is bad..

Getting an error code E20.

Below is for Whirlpool/Kenmore, u might find it helpful. Some machines have a small trap door on left front bottom, coin trap.

The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the drain pipe you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a good plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully. Check your pump too.

On some models the filter is located ‘inside’ the big hose from the bottom of the tub. This takes more time to clean.

Clothes come out soaking wet seams like it doesn't spin out the w

There are 3 possible places to look for filters as each machine is made differently –
1 If machine has a square flap fitted on the front filter maybe located behind this.

2 It could be located behind the front lower kick panel (remove panel to see).
3 Located inside the sump hose, this is the hose that is attached to the bottom of the
main tub.

Try this:
The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the drain pipe you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a good plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully. Check your pump too.
