Internal speakers are low even though setting at maximum speaker output. Has been like this since purchase 3-1/2 years ago. Have been using external speakers plugged into external port, however, port destroyed when external speaker cord tripped over - breaking part of the port. Port a part of the motherboard - too costly to replace/repair. Thanks for your help.

Target and Walmart have speakers that work through USB therefore bypassing the headphone port and allowing you to hear properly.
Or you could order something like this:

My icon IC 41 pro speak /mike low volume output

If you are experiencing low volume output from your Icon IC 41 Pro speaker/microphone, there could be a few possible causes. Here are a few things you can check:
  1. Check the volume settings: Make sure that the volume on your speaker/microphone is set to the maximum level and that the volume on any connected devices (such as a phone or computer) is also set to the maximum level.
  2. Check the audio source: Make sure that the audio source (such as a phone or computer) is not set to a low volume level.
  3. Check the cables: Make sure that all cables are properly connected and that there are no loose or damaged connections.
  4. Check the battery: Make sure that the battery of the speaker/microphone is charged or replace the batteries if necessary.
  5. Check the speaker: Make sure that the speaker of the speaker/microphone is not damaged or blown. A damaged speaker can cause a low volume output.
  6. Check the microphone: Make sure that the microphone is not covered or obstructed. A covered microphone can cause low volume output.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, I would recommend contacting the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or may recommend a qualified technician to repair the speaker/microphone.
It's worth noting that if the speaker/microphone is under warranty, you should contact the manufacturer to have it repaired/replaced.

I bought a logitect with 5 small speakers but i have 3 imput but my computer has only one. how do i connect

Unless *********** board was bought years and years and years, and even years ago, you should by default have at least three jacks. Headphones, or sound out; micorphone, and a line input or second out put. You can adjust your settings in the control panel under audio devices to have a least two (2) outputs, in which case you want to connect the green and black. You should have instructions that came with the system to show you guidelines for setting up the speakers, but you can then use your matrix feature to mimmick surround sound!

My Nokia 5230's volume suddenly went very low. Either I've made a call or receive a call, the volume when answering the phone is very low. I've increased the handset volume to maximum but it's still low....

Please see if there is dirt clogging on the earpiece that would have reduced the volume from the speaker. If so use a pin and soft cotton to clean or you must open the cover and use a brush and air jet.
Secondly the possible weakness of the speaker/earpiece or the weakness of the low power output amplifier is another possibility.

Low volume on Sony Trinitron

There seems to be a failure in your output drive circuit.
All electronics fail suddenly and don't show any signs until the defect is noticed except in the cases of intermittent troubles From what you have described an intermittent defect is not the culprit here. Are you using external speakers or the internal ones in the set? If you are using external speakers disconnect them and see if the internal speakers work OK. If it's both channels at the same time it's in the electronics, not in the speakers. This would require internal service. Unfortunately there is no easy fix for that. Have it diagnosed (which they can't properly do in your home unless it's a very obvious problem) get an estimate first. Those sets are very well made and reliable but nothing is perfect. You need a service call or move it to a shop.

I have a plasma Samsung with picture but no sound

Internal sound board/amp is probably bad. But make sure that the speakers were not turned off in the sound settings menu for the television. You could try hooking up and external reciever to the audio output jacks of the TV and see if you get any audio from there. If you do at least you can still get sound from your tv...even though it is not from the internal speakers.

Sound problem - Acer Aspire 5920

I assume you are using Windows Vista as ships with Aspire 5920's. Try the following to make sure that Windows is using the correct output options:
  1. Click on the Start Menu and go to Control Panel
  2. From Control Panel click on Hardware and Sound
  3. Click on the heading Sound and the sound configuration box will appear.
  4. The first tab is called Playback and allows you to select a playback device.  You should find your external speakers and internal speakers listed.
  5. Click the external speakers and then click on the "set default" button to make sure that the sound is played back through those instead of your internals.
