Infocus 5000 won't recognize my computer

How about a little more information?
Does the projector turn on?
has it ever worked?
What type of interface (VGA, DVI, HDMI, RCA)
What type of computer (notebook or desktop)

That being said, double check your cable connections and make sure you tell your computer to look for the projector (Dell laptops used to use FN+F8 to switch from laptop to projector). Windows 7 has a menu choice "Connect to Projector". Mac computers - check system preferences and make sure the projector is ON before you plug it into the Mac.

My projector won't project anything. the computer recognizes the projector, but the projector does not recognize the computer. also when i turn on the projector the benq logo doesn't show.

Disconnect all inputs to the BENQ and power on. Do the lights come on as per normal operation. Does the lamp come on when the power button is pressed. Does anything show when the menu is selected.

Projector takes 30-40 min to recognize signal from elmo 110xg

the resolution might not match from presenter to projector. are you using rgb, composite or s-video? the signal might not match. there might be an auto adjust on the projector to read and match the elmo's resolution. if not, the elmo may have an issue sending a powerful enough signal to the projector, and need a new main board.

ACER Aspire One AOA150-1635 and Sharp XR32-X projector

you need to connect it with VGA. then enable the 2nd monitor

4972c40.jpg
now you should have a wallpaper on the projector, you can drag objects to it by draging them out from the screen.

if you don't have the 2nd screen option. Then hold down the blue FN button and then tap F5 see if the picture comes, the FN + F5 will swap around with the outputs.

MacBook Pro (Leopard) doesn't regconize the projector when on (No input)

You must make sure the Mac resolution is set to 1024 X 768, otherwise it won't be recognized by the PG M20X Sharp projector. This change in resolution will cause the screen size to get smaller on the mac but, it will allow the projector to recognize the computer.

Eiki LC-xnb4m computer connection issue

I actually fixed it myself--I found another site that said for Dell systems, you need to hold down the Fn button (bottom left) and push F8 and then it recognizes the projector. Solved the problem immediately!
