The only way to get the into recovery mode, is to press and hold the volume down button in and then press and hold the power button, release the power button after you see the Samsung logo but do not release the volume button. Make sure it has a charge, and it is completely off when you try. You should end up with a screen with two icons on it, let me know if you get it.
