I just bought the Lasko model number 6221 and there are no instructions. Should I take it back (there were not anymore of this model) or can I get instructions?

Here's a link to a Lasko page where you can download an Owners Manual. Unfortunately, the link from that page no longer works, However, there is a 800 number for customer service. They can provide you with the Owners Manual. Hope this helped you.

I have a Lasko 5141 Ceramic Electric Heater, and when I turn it on, I smell burning and the heater makes a whining noise. I've tried vacuuming it, should I try again or is there another step I should take?

You have an excess amount of lint buildup inside the ceramic element, you need to take the unit apart to clean the element. The fan housing covers the backside of the element and blows the air forward, over a period of time lint builds up.

You need a qualified person to take it apart safely and clean it. It takes a Special Chinese Triangle Bit screwdriver to remove the 2 tamper proof screws from the back. Purchased mine at mcmastercarr.com

These power bits have a 1/4" hex shank and are 2" long.

I recently hear there is a recall on some Lasko heaters. My model is 751320. Is this in he recall? [email protected]

According to the Consumer Products Safety Commission http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml07/07227.html there was a recall of your model heater in 2007. Does this effect yours? Depends on whether or not yours was manufactured prior to this date. Even if it was, recalls and reimbursement for what you may have paid for the heater has time limits for you to make a claim.
Click on the above link for more information.

Poping, smoking electric Lasko 5540 heater

It depends on where the smoke is coming from. If it's from the heating elements, it's normal as dust and residue burn off. If it is coming from the control section, it's bad and the heater should not be used.
