The dishwasher will start for two sec and then they both stop and a red light comes on and starts beeping with motors running.

The cycle timer could be defective.

The red light and beeping indicates a fault. The fault code number will be indicated in the display or by other LEDs being lit. If you post back with the details of the display we may be able to help you.

I would find the electrical breaker for this unit and shut it off for a minute, then re set the breaker thus resetting your unit.

Hello, hope you can help? I brought a second hand (but brand new, but not used CDA wc140. Its plumbed in fine, switch on, the end light comes on, the programme button just beeps when pressed. II might need the actual model number. However, you can go to page 9 on this manual and check if the flashing options can fix the problem. I am assuming you have already tried to turn the power off and back on.

The ohter thing to try is the reset sequence. Within 6-7 secs press High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry. All lights should light up, press Start button to exit.

The water sensor is malfunctioning. It believes that there is still water, so the pumps run and the washer will not continue on its cycle. replace the water sensor, or dry it out so it functions properly

It sounds like your dishwasher might be locked. You unlock the dishwasher by pressing the "heated dry" button for three secs. and then releasing it, that should do it.

That is a fault condition, if the display is blank it is probably a faulty control board.

Unplug the appliace from main, or trip circuit braker to cut power for ten minutes.

If display is still blank on startup, then replace the timer control assembly.
