If the question mark is appearing after start up then this is because the computer cannot find the operating system on the local hard drive. Try this option first to try and repair.

With the computer turned off, hold in the option key and turn the computer on. When you see a blue screen, you may let go of the option key. The computer will try to find your local hard drive (named Macinstosh HD unless you have previously changed it). If it finds this hard drive, select it and that should resolve your issue.

you will need new hard disk. Install fresh copy of operating system and loading to home screen will be normal again.

Try to right click on desktop, choose properties.
When Display Properties appear, click on the setting tab, you have to choose the related display to make the viewsonic work and allow it to run.
