Kyocera FS-C5030N Led Printer My printer ran out of the blue (cyan) toner so I replaced the cartage carefully following are the cleaning steps like I've done successfully before with the other colors. This time it didn't seem to make a difference. When I print the Status Page the Toner (Cyan) shows up as empty under the Consumable Status header like it was before I changed it out. I was even using the Kyocera factory replacement cartage. Any idea what the problem might be?

You need to reset the toner counter. This is done through the Menu button and selecting Life Counters. The instructions on how to do this are found in the Advanced Operators Guide on page 2-75. The link below will take you to the manufacture's website where you can download it.

Resetting the Toner Counter

The toner containers must be replaced when the printer displays the Low toner or Replace toner message which will be given depending on the color of toner. The Low toner message will be shown as a pre-warning that the toner is running out and the printer will soon stop, at that time showing Replace toner. If you replace the toner container before Replace toner is displayed, you must manually reset the toner counter as explained below. Note that if you reset the toner counter before the toner container is replaced, the subsequent toner warnings will not be indicated correctly.

Push in the charge corona assy. Its behind the left door. Each color has a cleaning rod and charge assy. I've seen this more than once.

The code is for a defective cyan motor. So its either the cyan toner motor or a lump of toner inside the cyan toner container.

Grinding noise and jamming

Try to pull out paper transport unit (when open paper cassette,there is green or blue andle on the printer) and check what is wrong.Maybe just something is in improper position.
Also check paper settings on printer and driver.
If you use 80-90 gsm paper-Plain, if You using heawyveight paper(more than 105 gsm untill 200gsm) -Thick.
