turn off the gas valve that supplies gas to your dryer. Remove the gas flex line at the shut-off valve using an adjustable wrench.
Remove your dryer's back panel. take out the screws on the back of the dryer and the panel will come free. set the panel and screws aside until you are ready to replace them.
locate the thermal fuse between the dryer's blower housing and exhaust. the thermal fuse looks like a white plastic strip with two connected wires.
unplug the wires connected to the thermal fuse.
remove the screw that secures the thermal fuse to your dryer. set the screw aside and discard the broken thermal fuse.
replace the thermal fuse screw to attach the new replacement thermal fuse to your dryer.
reconnect the wires to the thermal fuse.
if the filter is on top, unplug the dryer, remove the vent line and the back panel,on the left side you'll see the metal duct that the lint filter slides into,to the right of that and down low you'll see a white piece of plastic part 3390519,that's the thermal fuse,if you change the fuse and don't clean out the dryer it will pop again and again until the blockage is removed.the fuse is a saftey, when the dryer runs to hot it pops.remove the filter and the two fhillips screws in front of it on the top panel,go to the rear, remove the four screws that hold the duct in place, remove the duct and clean it out,now clean out the vent line,if it's a long run to the outside i use a leaf blower to blow out the line, first go outside and make sure the vent is clear so when you blow it out the lint will blow outside, then pop the top panel with a screw driver, remove the two 5/16 inch screws on the side panel, disconnect the door switch harness and remove the front panel, vac out the lint in the cabinet,if you have a shop vac put it on blow and blow off the motor.if it's gas do this once a year, electric once every two years, your dryer will dry the clothes on time, you'll save energy and you won't have to worry about a fire.if the filter is in the front, remove the bottom panel, pull out the filter and remove the duct and clean it out, blow out the cabinet and vac up any lint, the thermal fuse will be located on the top right of the blower wheel housing,it could take a 3390519 or a 3392719,pull out the thermal fuse and check the part number or just call your parts store and give them the model number and they will sell you the right part.
