HP printer assistant deskjet 5550

After converting from windows 98 to windows vista, the printer assistant doesent seem to run properly and I cannot view the ink levels. Can you offer a solution. Thank you.

I have an HP DeskJet 920c. I received a CD with the Printer Assistant software on it. I loaded the software on my new laptop which runs on Vista and the Printer Assistant no longer works.

cannot find the softward disk to my hp officejet 5510.... NEED to have my printer working! any suggestions?

when i activate my printer (Deskjet 5550 ) , the print carraige will just move to the left side . then the power and paper lamp will just blink simultaneously
what could be the problem ? any one had a solution thanks

I can't find the printer assistant on my tray or anywhere. I have an HP Photosmart C6380 and Vista.

Go to Control Panel - Printers - HPDJ 5550 (or whatever you called it) - highlight it then right click on it and select Properties.

It may be best to reinstall the printer driver app and it should be restored.

I have Deskjet5550 and since I recently purchased

You may want to reinstall the printer software to correct this.
The drivers will be different and the software may not run the same due to Vista update.

My HP 5550 Deskjet won't print mirror image

You'll need to go to the manufacturer's site and find Vista drivers for your HP. Going from Win 98 to Vista is a major jump. I had to convert from XP to Vista and I still had to go get Vista drivers.

Also, make sure you get 32 or 64 bit drivers for the system.

Have new computer with Vista-- but computer and printer talking

This will not cost You
all you have to do is search the internet for your driver for Windows vista
The best Place to do this would be the
HP website do a google search for your model number ..
you will get the drivers

PC freezes when HP 5550 printer is on

256mb?? You need minimum another 256MB of memories.
HP deskjet requred 64MB. for the driver
Windows XP PS3 requires 200MB to run.
