Hello,
I found references to one similar model, and it was circa 2000. Yours has many nice features, but the price of a microwave has come down since 2000. If you are looking to replace it with a newer model, I would suggest that $80 to $100 might be a bit much, but a good starting point. The one thing lacking in yours is sensor cooking, which some find desirable. Since the prices have fallen somewhat, it's actually hard to get what they're really worth, since you can buy a new one rather cheaply, compared to a few years ago.
Best regards, --W/D--

I need a spare part for a Salton - Breadmachine model no SB846 - dough blade.

You can look up the site and see how much online to get one from them. That's your best alternative. You could also try to Craigslist to post that you need an item, but I don't know how many hits you'll get. You can also Google the part and see where to get it online. There could be a great many sites that could offer you one for much less than the maker may sell it to you.

I Have an Electrolux frost free freezer standup model (FFU17FC5CWF). I bought it new over 5-6 years ago (warranty is gone now). THe back is closed but it suddenly is running warmer on sides & back than...

Hello, Your freezer normally goes into a defrost cycle every 6-12 hours depending on manufacturers specifications. If the freezer is going out of its defrost cycle timeing sequence one of the first parts that would be checked would be the defrost timer which is shown on this diagram as part number 23 click this link http://c.searspartsdirect.com/lis_png/PLDM/R0504211-00003.png usually though if you are feeling the sides of the cabinet and they are getting warm this is a sign that the compressor is not cooling in this second diagram http://c.searspartsdirect.com/lis_png/PLDM/R0504211-00002.png I do see a fan motor but the schematic does not give the motors location. Usually the compressor does have a fan or a large condenser path that the refrigerant travels through in which it is cooled by either one of these two mentioned. I would first open the freezer door and listen if you can hear a fan running if not then that would most likely be the issue. The compressor has to be able to cool if it cannot then the lines that travel through the cabinet will start to heat up. If you have any further questions message me back Thanks Rick
p.s motor is shown in this diagram as part number 13 and at the most expensive appliance parts which is sears the motor sells for 45.85 the defrost timer sells for 27.00 if you are looking for a repair service which state or area do you currently reside I personally repair in both Rhode Island and Massachuesetts but if you are not in this area I can help you to locate an appliance repair company. Thanks I await your reply Rick

Still have not recieved reply in email to question" Microwave has no power but have power at outlet and fuse is good"

You will not receive a e-mail response since e-mail responses at this site are prohibited as is all personal contact between users outside of this site concerning business of the site. Please review the TERMS of use for particulars. Please don't get mad at me - this is not MY site nor am I an employee of the site - rather, I am one of the thousands of volunteers working from my home answering questions for you.

If you have power in the wall and the fuse inside is good and you have verified this with a volt meter, your oven has finished its work in this world. It is time for a replacement. Though everything is 'repairable', I don't think there is much more you as a household manager can do to repair this. I think this problem will require a professional to diagonose and repair. The cost may not be justified. With good microwave ovens available at the $500.00 price point ... a service call to your home may cost you $150.00 or more plus parts. If you do repair it of course your oven will provide more years of service, but the cost could exceed the price of a new oven with its improved operating and safety features. Of course you can inquire of a repair shop local to you what the estimated repair cost would be, either house call or shop bench repair.

You should get an extimate before you plunk your $ for a new one ..........

I hope my response helps you to make a decision in your case - thanks for using FixYa.com

Hi My microwave broked the plate. How I can resolved this ,I need do buy another microwave or they sells plates separately ? And if sells were I can buy?

You can get to buy the plates separately , in fact you can many of them if you can get support from any repair/service shops as many microwaves are scrapped if there is a high estimate.
Make sure you take the center slot of the plate to confirm the fittings.

My waring blender quit working. There was no burnt smell, just quit running. Is it repeirable?

Hi Cindy -

Technically, everything is repairable. The real question is: How much are you willing to spend on repairing an old blender? You should bring it to an appliance repair shop for an estimate, because without actually seeing it - it is going to be anybody's guess as to what is wrong with it based on the info you've provided (it is often difficult to diagnose this stuff by description only as most times methodical testing is required) . It may be a simple, inexpensive fix - or it may "break the bank."

While waiting for your estimate, you should price a new blender. You may find there are some that have more features for less than you paid for the Waring model (or even less than the repair estimate). Once you have the price for repair and the price for a replacement, you can decide which path is best for you.

I hope this help & good luck. Please rate my reply - thanks!

I don;t know why the buttoms are locked. how do i unlock the microwave?

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes.

If it's still not working, you likely have a bad membrane keypad.

I can't help you furhter iwthout your full model number.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number) for more information & help or a free estimate.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Microwave running like normal but not heating food?

A part called the magnetron tube makes the microwaves, and either the tube has gone bad or it's not getting power for some reason. If you noticed any strange sounds, sparking or funny smells before the oven quit heating, it's safe to assume the magnetron is bad. But they can also go bad without being obvious about it.

It's also possible that there's something wrong with the control board or connections to it so it's not switching on the magnetron power. In some brands and models, door switches and safety thermostats may cause problems.

If this is a basic counter-top oven, you probably should just replace it. They're so inexpensive now that it will probably be half the cost just to get an estimate. And if it is a bad magnetron, the repair would certainly exceed replacement cost. For a high-end oven or built-in model, it might be worth getting the estimate and then deciding whether to fix or replace.

Hope this helps! Thanks for using Fixya.
