No, it is not able to be calibrated by the user. If your arm is too large for the cuff it will read high. Most cuffs are made for small framed people. Try wrapping it around your lower arm and position it about 2-3 inches above the wrist. use the wrist to take the b.p.

A monitor using Hg is only a valid monitor reading. Most electronic devices produce approximate results and are mostly good for taking several readings daily and obtaining a mean daily BP.
