I cannot record from a Daewoo DVD recorder ( 8150P) through my Viera TV ( model TX-L32S20B ). The screen says No Signal and instructs me to check inputs. I've tried using all cominations of AV1 and AV2 scart connections between the DVD recorder and TV without effect. We don't have a satellite connection as well. Any ideas ??

Did He record the DVD for you???? or is it a store bought, if it is a store bought take it back if he made it for you then tell him to do it again and close the session for playback on a TV

How old is your TV?Flat screens should not have a compatibility issue with the recorder,however,for a DVD recorder,you need one either with a digital tuner or a cable wire into cable box into DVD recorder into TV,to create the digital input.That is all I can think of that they may be talking about.Who told you about a compatibility issue?Good luck!

It is quite a common problem. What I do in my shop is to open the unit, and replace the DVD writer (is the same as a standard PC one) with another IDE DVD writer. (any model will work, but I try keep LG with LG etc)
Once you replaced the drive all should be back to normal. (I also use LG dvd writers on Daewoo recorders)

To hook up you need to go from the satellite box to the recorder then to the TV. If you do that then you should be able to record the show on Tv. You can get the manual on the link below. Page 7 tells you how to hook up.

Use the RCA or EUROSCART cable for connection.After connect localized the record signal on the TV.Tell me if you can` solve.

are you using AV jack to connect the recorder with TV for recording porpuse. if it's correct then it's simple, if recorder not gate inpute signal from TV, then it must show blank screen. coz it receiving the vedio signal from TV.
