Try to insert it to the computer. If the name appears like "HP Invert USB Web Cam", download the driver and software at divxturka.net or downarchive.com

Cant get my hp PAVILION DV6000 built-in webcam to work.

try using a real HP driver yet?
downloaded from whom, most non HP sites are virus pits from H3LL.
know that first.
finding drivers for obsolete systems is super hard work.

Pavilion dv6000 (is that the full partnumber or the useless series number)? post the service tag for 10x better answers.
if at HP.com (where you should have gone first) they demand that first. that is because, there are 50 LT in that series.or more
and guess what they all dont use the same chips nor cameras.

carbon date,,,, 2006 ,2007?
just about 10 years old and support ends at 10 years old
XP is dead now for 3 years why run XP
XP must have SP3 loaded, service pack 3 or USB is no good and vast other things super bad.. (old old history that)

only this matters, see those xx below, all facts here matter.
1,2,3 , all do. to match drivers; to OS. just 1 example here of 1000
9000-ppec2icix4tk32ykqb2dko55-5-0.jpg here is the dead files on this LT
deep dead.
http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Archive-Read-Only/Windows-7-Upgrade-Guide-for-dv6000-dv9000-models/td-p/179816

if you read the real service manual on any HP laptop made
you learn fast there are vast variances in chips used.
and matching drivers same,
some have 3 -4 wifi chips different. in one model.
like this DV6000-1234, see that 1234, vast models exist.
world wide in fact.

How can i install a usb web camera

If the web camera came with an installation disk, use the disk to install drivers then plug the web camera in a USB port. The computer should recognize it. If it is properly recognized it will work with all applications that support a webcam (Skype, MSN, Google chat..) If it is not recognized and you do not have an installation software, you should go to the manufacturers web site to download appropriate drivers.

Web cam do not turn on for pavilion dv6910

There are two files needed for the webcam to work. Go to the HP support driver page and look for the driver for the Cyberlink Youcam. You'll have to put the exact model number in a special search box in order to download the youcam software from HP

USB devices (not recognized)

Hi Hanna,

You may try to uninstall and reinstall the driver of your webcam. You may need to check also if the driver application is compatible with the operating you are using. Most of the new system we have now are operating in 2.0 USB port drivers.

If your webcam driver is compatible only with windows XP, then it won't help you resolve the problem if your system is operating in Windows Vista (new operating system for most new system).

Please clarify also the type and model of the webcam you are using. keep me posted.

Thanks.
