Ok i just purchased my idj3 and installed all the software it camre with. Once you open software and hook up usb nothing works the lights come on but only the keylock on both and a cue and b cue and none of the other lights come on,and nothing works at all,not with ipod or with pc. Ive been searching all over the net trying to find an answer!! Anybody got any ideas on what could be causing this and or what i can do thank you

    I want to set up my IDJ3 that I bought in 2013 and never used it. I've never set it up, it didn't have the CD installation disk inside so I don't want to just hook it up the computer and mess it up. Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

Hi,
Make sure you install the software in the CD provided with the iDJ3. IF you already have, try to uninstall, restart and then reinstall. Sounds like the drivers for your device was not properly loaded to your PC which cause it not to recognize. If it still doesn't work after that, I suggest that you contact Numark tech support for further troubleshooting at this link: http://www.numark.com/content54

it should just be plug and play but in your config make sure your controller is your soundcard. but if need the drivers www.numark.com or www.virtualdj.com

Installed usb to db26F converter to use printer
Ok reinstall as Administrator, use "Compatibility mode" for install and the run .exe, also run software as Administrator. too. Often these devices, USB - Serial Ports are NO GOOD for a printer. Either install a real Serial Port. or get a new printer. Windows 7 will NOT help either, it doesn't like older equipment.

I bought a Laseret 6L and a usb adaptor cord to replace the parellel port connection on the computer end. I've tried every suggestion regarding ports, but nothing works. The test page prints OK, but...
I've heard there is special software needed to do the USB to parallel conversion. We have a customer using a LJ 1000 with this hook up and there is supposed to be a driver/conversion software that handles the issue. Here is a good discussion that may have some solutions for you.

Doesn't work!! No red light!! Installed OK, but not camera!
USB DEVICES THE PROPER WAY ON INSTALLING USB DEVICES 1. Do not plug in your device right away. Install all drivers and software first! 2. Reboot 3. Plug the power or turn on your USB Device 4. Plug in the USB Port. 5. Windows Will detect the Device Automatically. Finish! Hope this helps.
