I just purchased a viewsonic e771 17" crt monitor, but don't have a manual. How can I get a manual for this monitor?

Considering the price of monitors versus the cost of repair. It would cost less to replace the monitor.

I don't know this particular model, but there are a few things you can check should you wish to retain the monitor.

1) If the unit has the older rotating controls, try spraying them with electronics switch cleaner (with lubricant). Work them back and forth a few times with the power off.

2) If the controls are the tact switch type, with the power off, press all of them and you should feel them engage. If not, replace the switches. They should be available generically for about 25-50 cents each.
