SOURCE: Need kneading blade for old Regal auto breadmaker K6773

Nope, haven't solved the problem yet. I got into the wrong category of breadmaker: mine is a regal K6773 "Automatic Breadmaker."

The motor will turn on it's own but will not turn the kneading blade in the pan when that is put into the breadmaker. makes a soft "thunk" as it tries to turn it. It's like the gizmo at the...

Hi, First, the take empty pan and paddle out of the machine. Try to spin the paddle by hand. If it spins freely that's great. If it does not spin freely the sealed bearing that allows the paddle to spin has failed and you will need a new bread pan. If everything is okay, keep the pan out of the machine and go to a kneading cycle. Look through the window to see if the motor shaft is turning. If not then the belt is loose or fell off. Hank

The drive shaft is no longer rotating. it stopped mid knead.

Hi, Take the pan out of the machine and see if you can spin the paddle freely by hand. If yes, that's great. If it's sticking and not turning freely then the sealed bearing may be frozen and failing. Next, keep the pan out of the machine and start a kneading cycle. Look through the lid window to see if the motor shaft is turning. If not, then the belt either fell off, is loose, or has snapped. Motor and belts are located in the base of the machine. Be sure to unplug machine before you check that. Hank

Rotating shaft will not rotate - during the kneading process nothing happens

Hi,
1) Make sure bread pan is inserted in the machine correctly. 2) Take pan out of the machine and make sure the paddle spins freely on the shaft. ( If not, sealed bearing is frozen and pan needs to be replaced. 3) Keep pan out of machine and start a kneading cycle. Look through the lid window to see if the motor shaft is turning. If not the belt may have come off , snapped or there is something wrong with the motor or curcit board in the machine . Hank

Why did the kneading paddle on my 1148X bread machine quit working. This happened the third time it was used. It did the initial mixing and resting. When it started the kneading process again, the blade...

Hi, If this is the third time using it, it could be defective. Return it for service. If not under warranty, try a few things. 1) Make sure the pan is inserted in the machine correctly. 2) Make sure that the paddle is not sticking, or the sealed bearing on the bottom of the bread pan is not broken or frozen. (Take pan out and see if you can turn the paddle freely by hand). Or finally, the belt may be loose and slipping, especially when it takes more power to knead the dough the second time. Good luck...Hank

The paddle doesn't seem to have a strong enough "push" behind it

Hello, Either the blade is sticking or the belt is loose. Take the pan out and see if you can spin the paddle freely by hand. The paddle should turn nice and free. If it doesn't then the lubricated bearing the paddle rotates on is sticking. This could be due to wear. Put some warm water in the pan and let it sit. Try a few times...DO NOT put the whole pan in water...just fill it. If that's a no go the lubricated bearing is frozen and the pan needs to be replaced. If everything is fine in the pan, then the belt is loose. Belt, pulleys and motor are located in the base of the machine. Remember to unplug first before working on it.. Hank

First time use. set machine to dough and pressed

Hi, Keep the bread pan out of the machine and start a kneading cycle. Look through the lid window and see if the motor shaft is turning. If no...then the belt fell off. If the motor spins, check to make sure the paddle spins freely. Keep pan out and turn paddle by hand. If no then the bearing is frozen. If that's ok..make sure you inserted the pan correctly into machine. If everything checks out then it's a faulty machine. Before you do anything send it out for warranty service. Usually it's warranted for a year. Hank

Drive shaft no longer turns kneading blade on model k6725

Hi,
Either the paddle is frozen in the bread pan ( take pan & paddle out of machine and see if you can turn it by hand), or the belt has fallen off or has snapped. (Keep the bread pan out of the machine & run a knead cycle, look through the lid window and see if the motor shaft spins. Hank

The mixing blade will not turn. I have had difficulty with it for quite some time. I can no longer lubricate it so that it will mix the ingredients.

Hi,
Take the bread pan out of the machine and see if you can rotate the paddle by hand. If you can't then the sealed bearing on the bottom of the pan is frozen and you need a new bread pan. If it turns freely keep the pan out of the machine and start a kneading cycle. Look through the lid window to see if the motor shaft is turning. If not, the belt has slipped off the pulley or it has snapped. Hank

Kneading blade stuck

Hi,
The little bearing that turns the paddle is frozen. You will need to get a new bread pan. This happened to me after 7 years of use. If under warranty have them replace it. It was about $25.00 for a used bread pan on ebay, so I just bought a new machine at Wally World (Walmart) for $52.00.

Loosening up kneading blade

Try some penatrating oil. It may be rusted a little. Then tap the center with a punch.
