I have mercury mother board and its having nine pinsocket for reset switch,power switch,hd led ,etc but i dont know their proper connections. there are some nos besides but not understandable . can you guide me to connect them?

Most mercury motherboards with a nine pin front panel connection use the following configuration.

You may want to double check to make sure that your motherboard follows this configuration. Just go to http://www.mercury-pc.com/downloads.php, enter your model number, and you'll be able to download the manual for your board. The jumper configuration should be in a section labeled "Front Panel Connection" or something similar.

Power and reset switch and hdd led layout on P4Vmm2 mother board

[10][ 9] Pin 1 = +HDD pin 3 = -HDD LED
[ 8][ 7] Pin 2 = + POWER pin 4 = - power LED (SPD)
[ 6][ 5] Pins 5 & 7 = reset
[ 4][ 3] Pins 6 & 8 = Power switch
[ 2][ 1]
