Some quick and easy stuff to check for is... 1) Are the interior lights shutting off when the doors are closed...2) Are the doors closing properly and the gaskets sealing as well...3) Is the fan in the freezer running...4) Is the condenser fan running at the back bottom of the fridge...5) Is the condenser coils in need of cleaning

How can "fridge quit cooling" but later you say "but fridge does cool" of course this absorption cycle system gets hot on the outside, heat is the "driver" of the system rather than an electrically driven compressor in the normal fridge. Is this a homework problem?
