Please check there https://manualsbrain.com/en/brands/samsung/fridge-freezers/ for a manual to your fridge (or a fridge-freezer, as Samsung produces both). Hope it's helpful :)
there is a chance that the drain hole in the back of the freezer is plugged or block and needs to be clean when the unit is defrosting the water is dripping in the cabinet instead of out the drain.
try to clean the drain of your unit maybe it is clog up declog it to avoid drip. u said that ther is a build up of ice this means auto defrost not activate try to chek the defrost heater or defrost timer if have the unit this. or try to allign the door gasket possible theres a gap entry of outside air cause of build up of ice. bec it is came from moisture of air out side or avoid to much door opening.goodluck.
Hi, The defrost drain behind the rear freezer panel is plugged. Remove the rear panel and clear the ice away from the drain. Then you will need to flush the drain hole with hot water to make sure it is open. Some models require an after market drain heat kit. Please get me your model # and I can look this up to let you know if you need that heat kit.
Hi, I can help you. The drain is plugged in the freezer section. Could I get the model #? Some models need an after market drain heat strip added. Please let me know and I can get you through tis.
Hi, Are you getting ice build up in the freezer side as well? There is a air shuttle between the fresh food side and the freezer side. thwater might be getting in the freshfood side from there. Look at the bottom rear panel in the freezer for ice build up. Ig=f there is ice, you will need to get to the drain from inside the freezer and check for blockage.
Please let me know if I can help you further.
never buy a fridge with an ice box! the freezer compartment is not cold enough for long term storage and all of them build up ice.
however, check door seals carefully as you may have an air leak past them. "4" is a reasonable setting and the stat controls both sections.
also check that the compressor stops and starts regularly. if it is constantly running, you could have a compressor fault
