If none of the button are working then it could mean that one of the buttons is stuck or there is an issue with the board on the monitor itself.

Unplug the monitor from power and the computer. Make sure none of the buttons are stuck down, plug only power back in to the monitor and see what it shows. Plug it back into the computer and check to see if the problem returns

How do i get a default pin code for my samsung SCH-M828C

Default code should be 0000, 1111, 12345.
If none of those work and you are unable to use the device or would like to wipe(erase) the device, look below.

If you are trying to erase everything from the phone: Pull out the battery or power off the phone, Hold the Volume up and camera button, while holding both buttons, press and hold the power button until boot., after the nudge or as soon as the Samsung logo shows, let go of the power button(keep holding the other 2(volume up and camera).
When a little android with something on it's chest, let go of the buttons, wait until the menu shows up and use the volume buttons to move down to wipe userdata, press the power button to select the option highlighted.

Good luck!

You'll need to do a factory reset:
1. With the device off, press and hold Volume Up and Power.
2. Release the Power button when you see the logo, but continue to hold Volume Up until the recovery screen appears.
3. Use the Volume buttons to navigate the menu and select wipe data / factory reset. Press Home to choose the selection.
4. Press Volume Up continue.

This will reset you device to factory settings, however anything on your SD card will still remain.
At this point you will need to start fresh as if you just bought the device -- register with your email address, etc.

Tv volume stuck on max, volume + signal stuck, button is fine.

The problem is on the board with the controls----if remote receiver is not on same board disconnect that board--if it is unsolder the vol and channel buttons--the front buttons have priority over the remote--buttons will look fine but the switch under each will be your problem---better hope it is as only other cause is a microprocessor gone mad.

If you have a Ohm meter I can tell you how to prove this--going to have to get at the buttons--if you want to prove it is or is not a issue with the micro switches you are going to have to unsolder or test them.

I have an Acer H243H widescreen monitor; it has speakers built in. My problem is that the Volume controls constantly show up on the screen and I am unable to get it to go away and stay gone. The touch...

When this occurs with mine, I power down the PC through windows and the monitor using the lower right power button, let bot sit for 10 - 20 seconds, then power on the PC and switch on the monitor a second or two later and the icon disappears.

Before I did this I found it would eventually disappear.

Acer support claim the H243H is a touchscreen unit, that's what the icon is all about, buy you must have Vista to use it, not XP.

Volume pop up in the middle of my screen

no photos of said window presented? i cant see them?
must be OSD? the monitor brain on screen display (menu)?
even with the DVI cable pulled?
only a monitor stated, w1907, no PC
some monitors have button lock
read the manual ?oops HP deleted it...
it tells you to push the menu key on the monitor for 10 seconds
and it unlocks. (4 buttons right side left button is MENU)
doom?
that power deal sounds super bad, like the power supply is bad.
if the monitor fails by its self not plugged it to a PC
then the monitors is bad.
try a reset on it? ( power off for 1hr, or off then plug in with power button held? or power on with menu held (wild guesses but common practice)
ok found your manual page 4-8 shows menu page advanced
list line in list factory reset.
but if the keys are dead, and power lamp failing
the power supply is no good or worse. worse is always possible.
and expensive

ever see the support page, read the guides

its over 10 years old now. 2007?
walmart has larger one for $50
cheaper that parts or repair this.... vastly

Volume pop up in the middle of my screen

Sounds like one of the front panel buttons is stuck in - possibly the volume down button. If no buttons work, this could be the reason why. Just a guess. If they all feel OK, it may still be worth pulling the back off, (Without electricuting yourself -DISCONNECT POWER!) remove the PCB board that has the buttons on it, and see if it turns on without the menu. If so, check all buttons, rare but I have seen one that looked fine but with a multimeter it showed it wasnt working. If the screen still displays the menu, Id say there is a bigger problem... HTH
