Is there aproblem with the esab powercut1250 fixin to buy and need to know if i cAN GET PARTS AND IS IT WORTH BUYING

You should be able to get any replacement parts you want through Air gas / ESAB.

What's it worth to you? It's probably cheaper and less hassle to just buy a new one. I also doubt you could get the parts for a fix. Ask your local technician, you'll never know!

Please download the above service manual. have a look through it, this is the manual, used to train, engineers to troubleshoot & service these sets.
it is my professional opinion though that everyone should take their units to their manufacturers approved service center, contacting a head office, RCA in your case, and asking for a referral to an Authorised Service center. The getting to an approved service center is just SO important, it is even worth the extra to ship it You see, at those places, the Engineers, are trained on the equipment you have, they usually have parts on hand, and do the job quicker. Anyway do that and get a "Quote". This way, at least, you'll know weather to repair or replace.

Well, It takes R-12 freon. Sadly, they don't sell it in the US anymore.
You'll have to call around A/C shop to see if can retrofit you A/C unit to use the R-134A.

I was warrenty repair shop for lincoln, esab ,miller, hobart,and clark for five years .my expereance with lincoln as far as customer sevice they dropped the ball alot,miller on the other hand had great cusomer service.My opinion the miller family is the way to go for dependability,parts,and service.

if they are good then the picture tubes would need to be replaced, but since they are no longer available it realy wouldn't matter much would it.

I had the same problem my advice is to buy new head phones cuz they suck its not worth wastin ure time on fixin it its only 99 cents at a dollar store for new ones
