My Daewoo FRS-2021IAL fridge/freezer control panel flickers when open/closing either door. after a power cut, turns on unlocked & difficult to set freezer temp & to lock again. Backlight stays on continously. checked for loose connection, but seems o.k.

Classic symptoms of a fridge that needs a refrigerant gas top up. You will need a service call.

replace the door switches

Is it just the freezer section? Open the freezer door for a minute and then, without shutting it, press the button on the inside that makes the light go out. The fan at the back at the top of the freezer should start whirring. This circulates the freezing air. If it doesn't start then that's your problem as the freezing air isn't getting to the top of the freezer. It's simple enough to replace. Buy a new part (30 pounds?) and replace from the inside by removing the back panels to the freezer. Turn the freezer off and unplug first though, obviously! Hope this helps.

Check door light switch.

overload relay or bad compressor

turn off the freezer for an hour and see if that sorts it and a power cut and re power can jolt the power to the systems in the freezer, some can take 12-24 hours to reset. hopefully not yours, but if you have a power cut turn off the freezer unit. as it will happen again, only turn on when the electric as been on a few minuets.

Whenever the fridge is open it gives 19 beeps actually.In your case even when it is closed it is giving 19 beeps.This is the problem with control board.The control receives the signal when closing the door and stops the sound.Check the wiring connection to and fro the control board to the door.Control board costs high.This is small problem you can just unplug the wiring connection to the door to the board instead of spending more.
