I have a cannon pixma ip 2700 printer. The printer was working fine up until a few days ago. Now it is saying that I have error #5200. How can I fix it and get the printer to qork again?

Error 5200 unfortunately is a Print head overheat error. Whatever you try to do to fix it will not work unless you replace the print and the main logic board. These two parts HAVE to be replaced as a pair to get the machine to work. However the costs are often more than the machine is worth. To be honest i would scrap it and by another. Its quite an uncommon fault but have seen it before (I am a Canon engineer)

My Canon ip 2772 Printer does not works. It says Error 5200. What Can i do?

Just remove the ink cartridge from the printer and clean the surface contact using a cotton moistened dipped in an alcohol .
Return back the cartridge and try to print again.

Try also to Press and Hold the STOP/RESET button until printer restart. Release the button when to completely initialize the printer

cannon only take cannon tapes sony and cannon never shared there tape size. you can only use cannon dv disc

i have the same problem using nero cover designer
it's very slow quality is ok but at 1/4 of the page it gives me the error message....

The 5200 series error indicates an unrecoverable hardware error. Canon does not have any specific recommendations or further information to advise on this other than to unplug the printer for thirty seconds then plug back in and power on. If the error still remains unresolved, it will likely be more cost effective to replace versus service.
