The air conditioner controls on my 1999 Lincoln Town Car have went out . I think it may be a bad Fuse but I don't have the owners manual so I can't locate it. Can you help me ?

Open the small fuse board on your car & it is very easy to check all fuses. Replace any fuse already blown & usually you will get a description on the inside fuse cover confiring the fuse size & what it serves, IE : Ltg, Ign. Blw...etc ( Lighting, Ignition, Blower )

My microwave stopped working all of a sudden. Heard a pop sound and it stopped.

Could be a capacitor or a diode and I imagine the fuse blew too.
Does the clock work? If not the fuse has blown. You have to take off the cover. Take the screws out of the back and sides and pull backwards on the cover until it comes off then there should be a fuse in a holder near where the power cord comes in. Don't forget to unplug the unit. Some microwaves have the fuse in a plastic holder right in the wire. the fuse will look like a small tube with metal ends and only replace with the same type of fuse, about 15 amps. the amps will be on the fuse, look close on the metal ends.Put in new fuse and try again if it blows again you need to have someone with experience look at it.

Dose not heat

If on/off light comes on but no heat---remove bottom part. The heating coil looks like a horseshoe(biggest piece you see when bottom is opened). On the ends of the horseshoe near where wires come out there should be metal clips on heating coil holding some wires. Slip the wires/covers from clips and pull back the covering over the part that the clip was holding(you will be exposing the fuse).
Take piece of wire and connect to 1 side of fuse then connect other end of wire to other side of fuse so you have by-passed the fuse. HANDS AWAY FROM MAKER-- plug in maker and press on/off button. put your hand near where the coffee pot sits and check for heat. As soon as heat is detected, unplug maker and REMOVE WIRE !!. This confirms the fuse as the problem. Remember that there usually is at least 2 fuses. You need to verify the size of (thermal fuses). Both of mine were 184 degrees C. Check "goodmans.net" for your size thermal fuse. You will need to crimp new fuse in instead of using solder. Good luck

Heat & air fan not working

Hi.
First, check the fuse panel. It sounds like a blown fuse. Look in your manual for the location of the panel. The location of the fuse within the panel will be printed on the cover of the fuse panel inside, or near each individual fuse. Replace the fuse with the recommended size fuse. If the problem persists, you'll need to get it looked at more closely by a shop, but I'm 99% sure that the fuse is the issue.

My windshield wiper blades are not working. Was told it was the fuse located inside the car. I do not have owners manual. Please tell me the number and fuse size.

There is something called a "kicker panel" on the inside of your car. This panel will be either to the left of your left foot near the floor and door, or it will be under the dashboard in front of your knees. The cover of the panel will have a complete diagram showing you what each fuse does and what size to use. Please rate this solution if it helps.

good luck and have a a great day!

Where is the thermal fuse located on an electric whirlpool in cabinet oven?

hello,

Instruction below.
  • Unplug your oven. Insert the size 15 Security Torx bit into your multi-bit screwdriver and remove the screws from the back panel. Take off the back panel.
  • 2 Locate the fuse. It should be near where the electrical cord comes into the oven. The fuse is a small white bar with metal caps on either end. Carefully remove the fuse. Avoid touching the transformer or other parts inside the oven.
  • 3 Purchase a new fuse. Most whirlpool ovens use an 18 amp ceramic fuse. Consult your owner's manual to find out what kind of fuse is used, or take the old fuse into the store to find the exact match.
  • 4 Replace the fuse. Put the cover back on and see if your oven works. If it does, replace the screws. If it does not, try a different fuse. If the oven still does not turn on, you may have to have it replaced of professionally repaired.

  • thanks,

My teac micro hi-fi system CD-X10i doesnt work

many units have a fuse inside the back cover near where the power cable comes in. be careful to replace it with the same size fuse as the problem that blew the fuse might still be there and could potentially cause a fire.

I have the same unit and i am looking for help because the cd will not run (wont spin the cd), but the door works. also the FM reception sucks.

Amp powered down after got a few rain drops

You might get lucky and it be only the fuse. Since it doesn't have a reset switch, you'll have to remove the cover. Un-plug it first, remove the screws, remove the cover and taking it outside, blow off any of the dust that has fallen into the amp.

You should be able to locate a fuse near the point where the power cord enters the back. Carefully remove, check it (a thin continuous wire from end to end) and replace with an exact match for size and capacity (if it's 5A, don't replace it with a 10A) if it's burnt.

You should be able to power it up without having to reconnect everything to test if that worked. If not, a repair shop is in your future, or a new receiver.
