If recording from an iPod to a computer you need recording software like Audacity and a orch cable. Plug your patch into the input or mic plug on your pc, plug the other end into the iPod. Start the recording software select the input, start playing the iPod and hit record.

When you record from an external source, the data transfer may be too slow to produce quality recordings. If you're able to download the external source first, then burn it to disk, it should produce good quality recordings.

Vcr stopped recording audio

I often have the problem of no audio recorded when I'm recording from an external source (a cable box, for example), either because I accidentally muted the cable box (or other external source) during the recording, or because of a bad cable connection - the input ports on my VCR are loose and sometimes need to be jiggled around to get a good connection.

I have connected my phillips cdr785 recorder the proper way to record from an external source and I get the message "start source" on the cdr side when trying to record. And it never starts...

If you're recording an analog source the recorder won't automatically start. You have to start it in sync with the playback.

If you're trying a synchronized digital recording...

Page 28 of the manual says

Start playback on the selected source.

The CD recorder starts to record simultaneously and recording in progress is shown. The remaining recording time left of the CDR(W) is displayed.

Note: If you start playback on the selected source within a track, recording starts at the beginning of the next track or after 2.7 seconds of silence in analogue recordings.

Alpine cde-9870 non-ipod mp3 player AUX FUNCTION

When you press the SOURCE/( ' ) button and select iPod as the source, make sure you turn on AUX+ so that the external device is used as the source. AUX+ is turned off when you want to use an iPod with this head unit.

I don't know why some people thought to answer your question with an answer based on a different model.

Downloading

You need to use itunes as your music management software and ipod management software. You can download the latest itunes version at www.apple.com/itunes.

From here you can purchase items through the itunes music store, or add your own music by adding files from your computer, or putting a cd in your computer and coppying it into itunes so you can put the songs on your ipod.

Hope this helped,

Nathan.

MP3, IPOD, CD doesn't appear when I press "Source"

Easy.

If you read your owner's maunal, page 26, the USB is designed for a flash drive (up to 4GB), not an Ipod.
If you would like to play your iPOD, purchase the IPC008 (Ipod Lead) and you're done!
