Question about Amazon Kindle 1
If the kindle was not dropped or submerged in liquid then it sounds like you simply need a new battery. Here is a site that sells
replacement batteries for the Amazon Kindle 1:
Amazon Kindle 1 BatteryThe prices are some of the best around and all batteries carry a 1 year replacement warranty. I hope this helps!

If the kindle won't turn on because it was recently dropped or water was spilled on it or something, you should consult your warranty. If this is due to no external event/damage you should call amazon and see whether or not there's an update in software or a bug of sorts. If it's on their behalf you'll get a replacement device. Good luck!
