Transferring pictures I have the Kodak easyshare C875, I plugged the usb cable into the camera and into the computer and when the device manager tries to install it, its says that it failed and to consult with my device manufacture for assistance getting this device installed.
I have the same problem, that it's not recognized. I am looking into seeing if it's the new service pack from windows. Or the crappy usb cord, mine is too tight.

To transfer Pictures to PC only connect to PC using USB Cable.
If don`t work try the following
1.- Go to control panel -- Device manager
check if they are a yellow mark near the device
if have a yellow mark, select -- right click --Uninstall

Have you downloaded the Kodak Easyshare software? It will be easier to transfer picture from the camera to the computer also easyshare software has feature to enchance picture download not to mention that you can send picture thru email using the esayshare software. Transferring pictures/videos with the USB cable 1 Turn off the camera. 2 Plug the labeled end of the USB cable into the USB port on your computer. 3 Plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on the camera. 4 Turn on the camera. Note: EasyShare software opens on your computer. The software prompts you through the transfer process.

Try re-installing the driver software. Ensure that all the electrical contacts on the camera, cables and dock are clean and free from obstruction. If all else fails, USB card readers are cheap, and handy for other things. This is what I use.
I can't transfer the pics from my camera. the computer doesn't even recognizes the camera is connected.
